Robin Dods: Selected Works by Robert Riddel
Robin Dods is synonymous with late-nineteenth and early-twentieth century Australian architecture.
Trained in the British Arts and Crafts style, Dods’s contributions to Australian design range from houses and homesteads to offices and public buildings. Those still standing include St Brigid’s Church in Brisbane, and Fenton, Dods’s own home in Sydney.
The book includes an extensive collection of photos and drawings which, along with the thoughtful words, provide a fitting memorial for this architect and artist.
This book, written by Robert Riddel, is a labour of love; Riddel has spent decades researching Dods. Collating biographical information as well as historic project descriptions, the volume is a comprehensive introduction to this influential figure.
